God is Working in our Church

Thanks for reading this... Over the past few years, we have struggled at Rocky River to stay at around 150 people on Sunday mornings. There are lots of reasons why...I don't care to air them out here. Anyway, over the last few months we have gotten considerable traction. Our attendance average is over 200. Every week we have had tons of new and first-time visitors. We have good systems to assimilate these new folks. I really see no reason why we can't grow to over 300+ this fall. Will you help me "pray-in" this miracle? Here's how you can pray... 1. Pray for new people to keep coming to Rocky River. At Rocky River we count people because people count. Each person represents someone that God loves and that Jesus gave His life for. 2. Pray for our our Staff. Any time God is working and moving in the Church, usually the first to come under fire is the church staff. Satan does everything he can to wreck things by wrecking the lives of God's leaders. Why? Because everything rises and falls on leadership. 3. Pray for our children's ministry leaders, our Trustees, and our Ministry Team leaders. These guys and gals too will be attacked by the opposition. 4. Ask God to give us more volunteers. We need about 20 people to step up and serve in a number of ministry roles. We need people who will say, "I can serve one Sunday service a month. 5. Also, pray for God to continue to send us His resources. We are about $9,000.00 short of our "Big Steps" offering goal. This offering (which we are giving through August) is to help us do the following: A. To pay for the Concept Package for Phase 1 of our Ministry Campus, including the Master Plan. We hope to unveil this in September. B. New equipment such as a data projector for our children's ministry, a complete new nursery to "nicely" facilitate all the new babies being born into our church. We also have some equipment needs for our Sunday morning services. Being a mobile church takes a huge toll on our sound gear. We have some things that must be replaced or updated ASAP. Ask God what you can do to help us reach this "challenge goal." You can give in three ways: -By mailing a check to Rocky River Community Church, PO Box 68, Harrisburg, NC 28075. In the memo line write "BIG STEPS." -By giving on Sunday morning. This offering is an opportunity to give sacrificially, above and beyond your normal giving. -On your credit card online at www.rockyriverchurch.com. We use Paypal (ebay). *Thank you for considering how God is leading you to give and make a difference in people's lives. 6. And finally, ask God to help us have the courage and strength to keep taking "new ground" for the Kingdom. We are moving forward, we will not go backwards...we will not retreat. The spiritually lost people in Cabarrus county, and around the world, are just too important. God bless you. Live Radical!!! |
