Thirst Camp 2008 has officially kicked off - and with a BIG BANG! "Staff Infection" (that's what I'm calling our band tonight which was made up of me, Travis, Brandon and Mark Shropshire. We're the staff and Mark's the infection. Bad joke - I know). Anyway, I think our set rocked. I kind of wish we were playing all week but then again I'm glad we're not... MJ will be up for the rest of the week.

We had a drama team from R2C2 do a sketch that was probably the most powerful sketch I've ever seen in a worship service. Actually, I know it was. In fact, it was so good that we're going to do it next Sunday at R2C2.

Gooz did a great job with the message too. I think the kids are going to enjoy him this week. I'm speaking to the group on Tuesday morning - I'm the weak link in the chain :).

I'm so full of this camp right now that I just can't say enough about it. If I said our volunteers were awesome it would be a HUGE understatement. They are better than awesome. I have never been to a camp that I thought was more organized and as well prepared. Seriously! Travis and his team of volunteers/chaperones are amazing. Amazing!

Just a note of interest: I can't believe that my little Annie is old enough to be in the student ministry - but she is. I'm so proud of her. She's so mature I can't even believe she's only 10 years old. This is going to be a great week for her.

I haven't heard the numbers yet for first time decisions and such but I'm sure I will tomorrow. I'll post them with some pictures.
